The story of Gavottes began in 1920 in a small Breton patisserie. By chance, the pastry chef Marie-Catherine Cornic discovered the recipe when she left a crêpe on the cooker for a little too long. The result was a crispy, golden-brown pastry that was then folded eight times, giving it the characteristic shape of the Crêpes Dentelle. Since then, the Gavottes brand has stood for tradition, quality and innovation in the art of baking.
