Gifflar

The popular Gifflar yeast buns are produced by the Swedish wholesale bakery Pågen. The delicious little filled yeast rolls are known and loved far beyond the borders of Sweden.

Pågen was founded in 1878 in Malmö/Sweden as a family business and has remained so to this day. In addition to Malmö, the company now also owns a plant in Gothenburg and even produces its flour itself in its own mill.

 

The spiral of happiness

Quality, product safety and sustainability are the focus at Pågen. Dough and products are rigorously tested and monitored before and after baking and during packaging. The bakeries are FSSC2200 certified and have a very high standard of hygiene. As a result, the products have a long shelf life, and the risk of waste is minimised. The careful handling of ingredients, products, employees and customers is an important part of the company philosophy, as is the responsible use of resources.

Gifflar are baked with lots of love. Especially the typical Swedish cinnamon buns are enjoying unbroken and growing popularity, but the other flavours are also gaining more and more fans. The little snails are packaged in practical bags, making them a popular snack for on the go. In 2024 and the two previous years, Gifflar was named top brand by the German Lebensmittel Zeitung newspaper.

Gifflar has established itself as a brand that offers traditional Swedish baked goods in a modern, accessible format, giving people all over the world a taste of Sweden.
